I’m walking all ten stages of the Salford Trail, in completely the wrong order. To start, I tackled stage six from Walkden to Worsley via Ellenbrook and Boothstown.
I’m used to climbing up fells, so the peatlands of Chat Moss make for a very different landscape to my usual walks. Nonetheless they make for a fascinating wander, which gave me the chance to put together another short film for my YouTube channel.
The footbridge over the entrance to Worsley Delph is known as the “alphabet bridge” - so the story goes, it has 26 planks and was used by local primary school children to help them with their A to Z.
